A dreamy Parisian haze/sleepy disco. As a huge fan of Nicoll’s last collection there was a sense of scepticism in anticipation of his latest, now of course all void after witnessing the sheer splendour that charmed the audience at London Fashion Week. It has become apparent that due to the over-exposure of sex, our society (in large pockets) has become more sophisticated in their approach and appreciation towards all art forms. “Sexy” is now much more subjective: more charming than glamourous, more romantic than suggestive, the approach seems much more intelligent. The light, white, nude palette creates a sense of charm and confidence whilst the metallics brings glimmers of hope and joy. A very uplifting collection, the structures strengthening not restrictive and the palette subtle yet powerful. Sexy for the more subtle and glamour for the less extravagant. Welcome in my wardrobe any day.
